VAStars helps remote professionals build portfolios and connect with clients. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Profile content you add: bio, services, rates, case studies, testimonials, tools, timezone, availability and media links.
- Files you upload to your private vault.
- Inquiries submitted through contact forms on public profiles, including the sender's name, email and message.
- Basic technical data such as browser type, device and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.
2. How we use your information
- To run your account, workspace, portfolio pages and shareable links.
- To generate portfolio content with our AI builder when you ask us to.
- To deliver client inquiries to you and track your credit balance.
- To prevent fraud, scams and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
3. Public profiles and search engines
When you publish your profile, it becomes visible to anyone at vastars.contractors/v/your-name and may be indexed by Google and other search engines. You can unpublish at any time; search engines may take some time to remove cached copies. Password-protected links are never indexed and only open with the passcode you set.
4. AI processing
Text you submit to the AI builder (answers, resumes, experience) is sent to our AI provider solely to generate your portfolio. We do not sell this content or use it to advertise to you.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that host, secure and operate VAStars (such as hosting, storage, email and AI providers), when you choose to make content public, or when required by law.
6. Data retention and security
We keep your data while your account is active. Vault files are private to you. We use encryption in transit, access controls and per-user data isolation. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR, the Philippine Data Privacy Act and CCPA), you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact us using the email below and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
VAStars is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top and notify you of significant changes by email or in your workspace.
